Yolande tragically drowned at Somerset Beach during a family outing, in an attempt to save her daughter on the 7th January this year.
She is remembered as a hero and a significant member of the Somerset community.
In the wake of this tragedy the Somerset Community have joined forces to raise funds for the family of Yolande.
The funds raised will go towards supporting Yolande’s parents, Gary and Margaret Love in raising their granddaughters Grace, 11, and Isabelle, 9 and support will also be given to son Connor aged 15 years.
The fund-raising goal of $125,000 will contribute $1000 a month over nine years to cover food, clothes and any other needs of Grace and Isabelle as well as assistance to Connor who is living with his dad.
